Welcome to my reading journal blog.  Throughout the month of July, I will be reading and critiquing children's literature.  It is my goal to choose books outside the mainstream or classical lists in order to provide a wider perspective of children's literature.

Major topics covered will be: Caldecott winners, Newbery winners, diversity in children's literature, international children's literature, and books to films.
